An RN-to-BSN program enables an existing registered nurse (RN) with an associate’s degree to rapidly attain a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree. Oklahoma’s RN-to-BSN programs have experienced a surge in demand, as healthcare employers demonstrate a preference for BSN-educated nurses in their hiring and promotion decisions. Oklahoma is home to well over a dozen RN-to-BSN programs. We highlight below three of the state’s top programs.
Oklahoma City University
Oklahoma City’s RN-to-BSN program can be completed in as little as nine months. It is an excellent option for working students, since classes meet on-site for just four hours each week. Due to the program’s relative lack of prerequisites, nurses must earn 124 credit hours in order to graduate.
Current RNs with an associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program can receive advanced standing articulation, worth up to 31 hours of credit. The program admits students twice each year. All students must complete the BSN degree within five years of admission.
Oklahoma Christian University
This university, frequently recognized as one of the best universities in the western United States, has a strong Christian component to its program. Tuition fees will cost students $440 per credit hour. Successful graduates can pursue a career with local employers like Oklahoma Surgical Hospital.
To complement this list, we have profiled below a number of additional RN-to-BSN programs in Oklahoma.
