Prospective nursing students should consider Vermont’s four-year colleges and universities. The nursing programs at these schools provide extensive training and skills development to prepare aspiring nurses for their future careers.

Four-year colleges and universities for nursing
Four-year colleges typically offer an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) and/or a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). Some universities also offer a master of science in nursing (MSN). These programs prepare students with critical courses like nursing theory, nursing informatics, pharmacology, and nursing administration. As a result, registered nurses (RNs) can seek managerial positions upon graduation. Because employers prefer candidates with a higher degree and more extensive medical training, four-year graduates frequently have an advantage in the job market.
